I got a Crate V100H. It's definately not a Metal amp, but with an od pushin' the drive channel from the front and the new preamp tubes I put in, it S-C-R-E-A-M-S! If I really want a Death Metal tone I run a Metal Muff through the clean side . For the price(you can get a half stack for about the same price as a Bugera head), it can't be beat. Go to AMS and read some reviews on it. I've seen very little reviews on HC, and most of them were from Crate haters. Plus, it comes with a 5 year transferrable warranty .
