Boss is a good product I had the DS-1 it seemed to be a bit shrilly to my taste but I used it with an eq and that made it sound really nice I like a pedal with a bit more low mids boosting it would all depend I guess on what type of music your playing I like playing mostly blues so I use a tube screamer TS9DX but it has been modded to the old TS-808 chips and resisters I chose that pedal because it has one setting that increases the mids a bit but it would not be good for like hard rock to metal maybe some classic rock it has a good bite to it. Realy brings out a good tone on my Fender neck pickup  well hope that helped some lol . |
