If gas hits 5 bucks a gallon, or higher, what will you do to cut your expenses? I probably would trade in my bike for a scooter. Or at least a smaller displacement bike, mines a 636cc crotch rocket. Even though I could squeeze 40-50mpg out of it IF I stay below 100mph and do the speed limit all the time. But that's no fun. Riding the way I ride(rode, I can't see to get a license right now.) I get 30-35mpg out of it now. So maybe I could keep it. My wife would have to trade in her gas guzzler suv for something smaller though. It hardly gets driven now, we ride in the Dodge Neon mostly. I planted a garden a couple weeks ago to help cut grocery bills, and we're already cutting back on meat consumption(sux). I guess I could play my acoustic more and video games less to save on electricity...nah. Anyways, what are you doing now or in the future to help your self save some green as fuel costs, and everything else are starting to rise?

I'm just driving less.  I working from home 1-2 days a week now too.  Commuting is tough on the pocketbook.

Yeah, we sold the suv, bought all compact flourescent lights(they suck man, it takes foreever for them to warm up and get bright) the only room we don't have them in is my music room cause they make a lot of noise. Set the AC's on energy saver, got the hot water heater on a timer, till the instant hot water thingy gets installed.(I thought I could install it myself, but I can't). And lastly, we eat out every night, this may sound crazy, but we figured out it was cheaper for us to get take out dinners instead of buying groceries and cooking them. 2thumbsups
