Default Different Types of Distortion - 03-26-2008, 02:19 PM

Considering there are so many different types of distortion effects, I was wondering what your opinions are for getting the best sounds. I mean you can go from classic rock to grindcore. I've seen so many different pedals and I don't want to end up wih 1,000,000 different boxes

well most boxes sound different, and there isn't really one that does it all, my personal box of choice if i had to choose just one would prolly be MXR distortion+, with a simple mod it can cover most of the ground from overdrive to distortion

stuff it....... then bake it.......

i dont use single pedals , i use a digitech rp-12 its a old unit but sounds great and give me many sounds to choice and create my own...... maybe look into some kind of effects unit.. most will say they suck in sound but i get great sounds out of them...
