Default Top 5 Metal Amps - 12-29-2009, 03:59 PM

I'd like to hear your picks. It's hard to pick only 5 since there are so many kick ass metal amps out there.

My pick:

1. Marshall JCM800 - Boosted
2. Mesa Boogie Dual Recto
3. Peavey 5150 / 6505
4. Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ / IV
5. Randall RG100ES

Other favorable mentions that should be on the list.

Bogner Uberschall
Engl Invader
Splawn Nitro
Randall Titan (or pretty much anything Randall)
Framus Cobra
Krank Krankenstein

Am I missing any?

Those seem to hit the high points. Kinda surprised by the Marshall JCM800, versus some of the more "modern" Marshalls like 2000's or whatev.

Not that I don't love the amp, just think of it as more a classic rock/old school punk, etc., amp rather than one that's pumpin' the brewtalz.
