Bugera 6260 aims for ultimate sound reproduction and beyond. We consider this to be a top-level budget tube amplifier that excels at heart-moving tone. Two-channels of valve power head with reverb delivers a 120 Watts of massive power. The amplifier comes with a heavy-duty, steel constructed, footswitch, which makes this beast even more reliable. It brings out maximum performance from it’s power tubes section (loaded with Bugera 6L6 and 12AX7 preamp tubes)
The Bugera 6260 is the go-to guitar amplifier head for classical rock, hard rock and metal bands due to its raw tone, great power and, as stated prior, incredible reliability. The amplifier comes with specification of integrated high-class reverb with dedicated Reverb control. It has an fx-loop, a preamp-output, the usual speaker outputs (2) and with 4-8-16 impedance switch, lo- and high- gain inputs. There's a bias adjustment facility for your power tubes. The amp is switchable from 6L6s to EL34 and flick one switch to adjust the bias to the EL34s. The Bugera reminds me of a Vintage Equalizer type section (shared eq) with a shared bass, mid and treble controls. Much like the Peavey 5150 or 6550, the Bugera employs a crunch and bright switch for the clean channel.
The Bottom Line
The 6260 is a complete amplifier and suits many styles of music. The tones that come from this mighty box are simply amazing. If you’re a Pink Floyd fan, add  some smooth delays, fast echoes, delays, and chorus in the FX.  If you’re a Mudvayne fan, crank the gain, scoop the mids, and run the treble to about 12:30.  Oh, and don’t forget to play Bugera 6260 loud and proud!
