A sad loss

ET breaks the news that comedian George Carlin has died from heart failure. The man who made famous the "seven words you can never say on television" passed away at 5:55 p.m. Sunday at Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica, his longtime publicist said. He was 71.

Carlin, who has had several heart attacks and a history of cardiac issues, went into the hospital this afternoon after complaining of heart problems.

Carlin has more than 20 comedy albums, 14 HBO specials, numerous TV and movie roles, and three best-selling books to his credit. Last year, he celebrated his 50th year in show business, and he had just finished his last HBO special in March, "It's Bad for Ya."

George's had many great quotes that will go down in history as some of the greatests.

RIP. Somewhere, at my parents' house, is my vinyl copy of his album "Class Clown."

My only regret is I never got to see George Carlin in concert. I bet it was hilarious. Rest in peace. WE will always remember the 7 words you can't say on the radio.

We had tickets to see Carlin live. We drove to Grand Rapids, found a parking spot and proceeded to go see the show. To only find out the show was cancelled. We pre-paid $80 for tickets, but we never did go back when the show was rescheduled.

why didn't you go back? At least you have the tickets. I bet you could frame them and sell them on eBay.
