I think this is the recording package I'm gonna get. It'll probably be mid october before I get it though. What do you guy's think? This is about the price range I want to spend on recording gear.

I'm gonna get the package with the mic and moniters and stuff.

Digital recorders with an internal hard-drive are magnificent . Especially when you can quick connect your notebook straight to the usb cable. 16-bit will give you an amazing crisp recording. Another nice feature is the CD/R, if you connect your notebook straight to the unit, you probably won't use this feature as much, but good to have if you take the unit to practice, set up a few mics and analyze your session.. that's where the CD/R will come in handy. Burn out a CD to listen to on the ride home. One feature I wish digital recorders would have, I don't think any recorder have a zip-stick input. That'd make life even easier.

I'm curious how the drum and bass sampler do.

I think you made a good choice and can't wait to hear bunches of recordings from you

Oh yes. Lots of samples of the MT-2 with the Keeley mod will be forth coming. I read mixed reviews on the drum/bass sampler, but I intend on laying down my own drum tracks. Someone just gave me a Taye drum set, I just gotta find a way to get it home now. I know another dude that bought a nice Fender P bass, and Peavy amp, he never uses it, just to decorate his apartment is all it's for. I'm sure he'll let me borrow it. IF the bass sampler doesn't sound good that is. I suck at bass guitar.
