Default Fostex MR-8 MK II Multitrack Recorder & MR8HD - 10-24-2008, 04:50 PM

Looking through the AMS catalog, it appears they have two. The standard one ($249) and the HD - 40GB hard drive - ($399)

American Music Supply

The MR-8HD is a 8-track recorder with a 40GB hard drive, on-board digital effects, 4-track simultaneous recording, dedicated microphone, line, and guitar inputs and USB connectivity to your computer. The hard drive provides more than 15 hours of 8-track recording time - at CD quality. Other details include a large LCD screen, easy operation, WAV Manager software, twin headphone outputs, and lots more.

The MR-8 MK II Includes - Free 1 GB Card through AMS

The bassist in my old band used to have one of these before we upgraded to a Presonus FirePod.

It was pretty cool, but the Korg my other friend has produces WAY better recordings, but is also about a grand more

this is great for people who don't want to bother with a computer too much - and thats the kind of thing that would be perfect for practices

this one doesn't but i've seen many that do... i'd personally want the one with the hard drive because often the ones with the cd don't have space other than memory cards... but i could be wrong on that
