An internet acquaintance of mine from Canada was one of Jeff's best friends, and had played in bands with him before he was well-known. A few weeks ago they had a huge 2-day benefit concert, rock on one day and jazz on the next. It was reportedly a huge success. Some internationally-known players performed. There's some talk of continuing it as a yearly event.
