Isn't she a beauty? Oh and she sounds better than she looks too! Loaded with New Mesa 12AX7 preamps and JJ 6L6GC Power tubes. And of course, Mesa Boogie Rectifier tubes.
Born 1992 was this Holy Grail Pre1000 R0929. This isn't like today's Recto, this is one of the "Ever so Rare" Dual Recto. Mesa should have kept building them like this. Get more low end growl, Liquidy crunch (saturated) tube sag without the fizz. In 1992 the Rectos had BALLS! Serial fx loop, unlike recent DR which suck out all your tone. I'm very fortunate to seek out and obtain one of these. I doubt another one in this condition could be found without a life time of searching. I should go play the lottery now... it's my lucky day!                  |
