Default Tremolo/Whammy Bar Spring Noise Trick - 02-12-2009, 07:39 PM

A little trick I got from Steve Vais guitars is to pack the rear cavity of your guitar (where the tremolo tension springs are) with some light foam padding.packing material. This greatly reduces the stretching noise the springs give out which are amplified by the pickups. Purer tone ftw!

I tried this on a friends cheap strat copy and it worked great!

Hope it helps!

I'm an experienced pedal tech specialising in overdrive and distortion pedals as well as SS amps. Any questions guys feel free to send them my way and I'll help the best I can!
