WOW. That's all I can say about this amp. It's LOUD for sure, but it's also soo sonicly detailed, it's freakin' amazing! The bass, mids and highs are sepereated so perfectly, you can hear every note, every detail, that you play. It sounds like a real tube amp too! And QUIET. We hooked up a MT-2 with a single coil strat, and turned up the gain baby. You couldn't hear one hiss, pop, crackle, or anything, those decimators sure do their job good. The range of tones possible on this thing were just awesome, and intimidating at the same time. The salesmen I was talking with KNEW this amp, you'd have to ,to be able to sell it I guess. He said the amount of time you spend tweaking is how good you'll sound. Not to say it takes long, but longer than say a Marshall JCM800, or HiWatt HiGain 100 amp. The cleans almost made me cry, it sounded soo good. The digital reverb was the bomb. Better than some spring reverbs I've heard. Even the little 212 combo sounded just as good as the stack. This whole set up almost has, to quote a review I read somewhere, 3d kinda of sound the way every thing is seperated. You can go WAY overboard with the active bass amp though. You have to set the volume level for it(on back of the cab) to match your mids and highs(the amp head it self). All in all , I'm definately getting this amp.
EDIT: BTW my wife said I looked like a kid in a candy store. It took 30 minutes forme to decide which guitar I would try the amp out with(I settled for a BC Rich Deluxe V, a guitar I'm seriuosly considering buying now). It had been so long since I was in a REAL music store, I didn't want to leave!! I almost started throwing a tantrum right there in the showroom.(jk). If you guys can, check this amp out, yeah it has a lot of knobs, but trust me your ears will love you.
