It’s hard to give a short list. These aren’t favorites just because of talent but they are strong influences on my playing and my listening.
1.George Harrison - First lead guitarist I really got into.
2.Phil Keaggy - most of my gear and tone are Keaggy influenced
3.Buddy Holly - to one he’s one of the most important guitarists in rock history.
4.Buddy Guy - the man can play. the man had fun doing it.
5.Jimi Hendrix -
6.Pete Townshend - when you’re a teenage guitarist and learn you share a birthday with an all time great you are likely to gravitate towards him.
7.Mark Knopfler - one of the more unique styles in rock
8.Mike Campbell - A bit under the radar.
9.Lindsey Buckingham - another with a unique style and great music
