Someone did a thread on this on another forum I go to, so, yup, I'm a-stealing it. Use your discretion as to how "big" a band should be in order to be worthy of mention in your list-- I've included some slightly less-known punk bands that non-punk people probably haven't heard of, but a lot of punk rock people would've. I haven't included the hundreds of "local" type bands I've seen/gigged with (except a couple who later became semi-famous or arguably historically important).
