Ultimate Guitar is giving away a Moog E1..
Check out this link for more details.
Even if you don't enter the contest the video shows this amazing guitar in action with Lou Reed, Vernon Reid (from In Living Colour), Jack Cinnerger (from Umphrey's McGee) and others playing the Moog E1
The Moog Guitar provides an incredibly intimate playing experience that connects musicians directly to the source of the sound; the strings of the guitar. It does this by controlling the way the strings vibrate. In a very coherent way, the Moog Guitar gives energy to, and takes energy away from the strings. The resulting timbres do not rely on effects or post-processing. They are created directly from the strings.
The Model E1 is the production model of The Moog Guitar. It uses the same innovative electronics and pick-ups as the original Paul Vo Collector Edition, and is available in three new finishes; Candy Red, Black and Butterscotch. It sports chrome hardware, a solid alder body and a choice of fixed or tremolo bridges. A MIDI option is also available.
The Moog Guitar Electronics add an unparalleled range of expression:
FULL SUSTAIN MODE – Sustain all six strings with powerful, infinite sustain anywhere on the neck. Great for everything from ambient textures to power chords that never die!
CONTROLLED SUSTAIN MODE – Create incredibly expressive leads, with all the sustain you want at any volume. Sustains the strings you’re playing while it removes energy from the strings you aren’t.
MUTE MODE - Remove energy from the strings for a sharp, staccato sound. Feels like a whole new instrument in your hands.
HARMONIC BLENDS – Shape and control string harmonics with the included control pedal.
ONBOARD MOOG LADDER FILTER – Create everything from resonant synthy “wah” effects to subtle, articulated timbral changes with the onboard Moog filter. Sweep the cutoff frequency using the control pedal or Control Voltage Input.
On top of all this, the piezo saddle pickups give you even more tone-shaping control. Blend in the piezo signal for everything from added sparkle to full acoustic tones.
Still just a beginner. Learnin on my JT-200D with a Marshall MG-10CD.
