good point i had a florescent green kramer with a floyd on it cant rem what kind of floyd but i had a old strap on there one day and the thing let go and smacked the floor.. that guitar was heavy but when it hit the floor it cracked the neck,.... i was sad... ...

i used to use coffee can lids for straplocks, but they never really worked that well and looked like crap lol

lol, i used to take off the strap stubs, and screw the srap right to the guitar useing the stub kinda as a washer it worked well, but then i got money and paid the 13 for the locking ones...lol

lol i used to do that back in the day....... works well..... tooo

that's basically what i do, i unscrew the post from the body, thread a washer bigger than the strap hole on to the screw, thread the screw washer strap post assembly through the strap and screw it back in

routing my old stratocaster pickguard for a pair of humbuckers with a dremel tool, wasn't a very good idea, i destroyed the pickgaurd and had to buy an aftermarket one heh
