The Gibson Joan Jett Blackheart.
The hearts aren't very appealing to me, but other than that, it's pretty nice. However, I'd slap a Pure 90 in it. Also liking the kill switch too. What do you think, yay or nay?

On a second thought, who the hell would buy this with those awful heart inlays?

Haven't been able to find a definitive answer but from what I've seen online abut Melody Makers, it should be between '66 and '71. Modded with humbuckers, not sure whether the 4-pot is a mod or not (I think it is).

Cool looking guitar, but there's just no way I could make peace with those hearts.

That's what black electrical tape is for!
Actually a buddy of mine once had a cheapie green LP copy, and to decorate the neck he used green vinylized tape. Looked pretty funky. I'll try to dig up a photo.
