Default Hello - 01-28-2010, 12:08 AM

Hi, all. I was hoping someone out there could help me out with a problem I have with my ESP LTD 154 DX bass I own. In an unfortunate accident, the headstock broke completely off the neck. I did some research, and ESP doesn't offer replacement necks for this bass, so I got to thinking that since it's a bolt - on, I could replace it with another neck from another bass guitar. My question is: what necks would fit this model? Would a B.C. Rich 'Widow' Bass headstock fit? That would be optimal.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

ESP/LTD use that neck on other models, not sure what models without knowing specs. For the BC Rich neck might work if the thickness and width is the same. Can you measure the two necks where they bolt in?

Hi, there! Thank you for replying.

So basically any bass neck will fit if the bolt spacing is the same on both the body and the neck?

I think it could work if the bass neck fits in the neck cavity. The bolt pattern probably doesn't matter so much.

Thanks again for the advice. If I happen upon a B.C.Rich Widow bass neck (if anyone out there knows of one for sale, please let me know!) and it fits the cavity but the bolt pattern is a bit off, that wouldn't be a problem?
