Default Help with Crate Taxi 15 portable amp - 08-12-2008, 04:16 PM

Hi, I bought a Crate Taxi 15 portable amp, with battery, and I need a power supply. I need to know the amperage of the supplier. I know the voltage is 15V, but I need to know the amps.

If someone has the same amp, please, check the power supply and tell me the amps it provides so I can buy a new one.

Thank you!

Hey there, welcome to the forums!

Here is the .pdf file for your amp http://media.musicalplanet.com/pdf/CRA362.PDF

If you need to order the power adapter call, 1-800-738-PARTS (7563)

Thank you. That's the TX30 and mine is the TX15, but I had already read the specifications. The problem is that it doesn't say anything about the amps of the power adapter. It's usually written on the power adapter, so if anyone has the same amp it would be great.

I found two 15V power adapters, one with 3500 mA and another with 5000 mA. The problem is that if the amps are too low, the battery won't charge, and if it's too high it might damage the amplifier.

http://www.crateamps.com/support/index.php

Maybe you can find what you need here? Their customer support is pretty good. I have a Crate XT120 I'm playing through right now, and had a question regarding impedence for extension cabs. My owners manual or the back of the amp don't specify any. I emailed them and got an answer in a couple of days. Good luck bro.

Always scoop the mids!!
If it ain't METAL...it AIN'T music.

I wrote to them. I hope they answer.

Anyway, if anyone works in a music store or visits one, it would be great if he can have a look to the power adapter and tell me the amps it needs.

Thank you!
