I just went out and bought myself an LTD EC-1000 Snow White in color. It has EMG 81 in the Bridge and an EMG 60 in the neck and i know EMG is not a great "tone" pickup, espacially the 81, but i do have to say it saounds pretty great. The 60 on the other hand seems to have tons of tone which surprised me. I plays great better then anything i own at the current time..and i'm up to 8 guitars now
 This thing is COVERED in Abalone..not mother of pearl as everyone seems to say it is.
