ok i see where you were going now... what i meant was i don't think you should pot pickups either unless your like me and i have a set that feedbacks uncontrolably.. just a high pitch squeel whenever i stop playing... i too like a bit of feedback, its fun to play with a mimic... but when all your guitar does is squeel like a stuck pig, then pot those pickups or change em..
