Re: Mesa F series

You did. I saw it too. Someone got to it before I did =/

My budget is 550. I'd love to deal locally, but if I must, I'll shell out money for shipping.

Re: My other hobby - Effects pedals

Wow, that's cool. That's an inspiration to stay in school.

I can read schematics and stuff, but they never carry everything you need for a pedal at radio shack. Germanium transistors for example....

Re: Peavey Windsor GIZAOINNNE!!!

I don't own a Winsdor, but I have tried out a BB pre amp with a Fender Blues Jr. It's a pretty ballsy, yet warm pedal. I liked it.

Re: what string gauge do you use..

I like .11's, though I'm trying out .12's right now, and I'm not really feeling a huge difference. Thicker strings last longer, and IMO sound a little meatier. I can still bend 2 whole steps with...

Re: Contests

Yeah, I've been kinda on off GM. I regret not doing that cover contest, dangit...

I don't really like these give aways, personally. I mean, it encourages posting, but that's pretty much all it...

Re: Who Boils their Guitar Strings?

Not for guitar...I do for bass strings though. Those are actually expensive.

Re: Need new halfstack, got 800 bucks.

You can go wrong with a 5150. What if he's a jazz player that needs an ultra clean clean channel? It all depends on what you play, TS. All amps pretty much have the same build quality, so we can't...

Re: what strings do you use???

I use those blue green packaged ones. Those are really nice. I dunno why, but I can't play that well without at least .11's strings. Light strings are just so unresponsive for me. I play in E...

Re: Rg517?

Sorry, no pics right now.

So, this is a true RG5xx guitar, right? It's got all the characteristics? Like edge trems and stuff?

Thanks.

I use Ernie Ball Not So Slinkies (?). Not sure if I got the name right, but they're the 12's.

Most versatile wah?

I'm looking for a wah pedal. Honestly, I'd be using it just for the hell of it. I don't really listen to a lot of wah'ed music, so I can't tell you guys who my favorite is, so I'm just going to aim...

Rg517?

I found a guy selling a 517, and I've never heard of it. He gave me a brief explanation, telling me that it's a limited run version of the 570 in a different color. Can anyone verify this?

Re: Respect to Peavey; Favorite Peavey Amp

I own the 5150, and I absolutely love it. Paired with my MXR noise gate, it's absolutely beautiful. The cleans are actually pretty decent. I can get a pretty good clean tone just by rolling down my...

Re: What is your favorite Solid State amp?

My favorite SS amp would definitely be a Roland cube. I love how versatile it is. I would like to own one, but nothing compares to tube amps.

Condition of drums, heads, cymbals, ect. matter. Ask the seller about those things.
