I have an a Xaviere and the body and neck are EXCELLENT, however...the electronics were not as good as those I got from Rondo. The Xaviere's have super fine necks.

Kurt has such a great reputation that I doubt he would risk it by carrying a guitar that wasn't up to snuff, plus at $130 what have you got to lose. Even if you need to upgrade a few...

I'm not familiar with Douglas, but I'd buy it just on Rondo's reputation. I think Kurt would make you happy one way or another.

I used to do it back in the day. But now I just buy my strings from www.webstrings.com and they are excellent strings for $2.99 a set. Can't beat that...
