Re: Electric 12 strings?

That's not a bad idea at all. Thanks for the tip.

Even the "extra long" elect guitar case I tried was too short.

Re: Electric 12 strings?

It plays great. When I first took it out of the shipping box, the action was really (too) low. The high E was actually touching the first fret. I was sort of bummed/upset that it was so bad and let...

Electric 12 strings?

Anyone have one?

I bit the bullet and picked up a Dipinto Mach XII. I'm very happy with my choice. The leading runner ups were a Fender start and the Boca that MF sells.

Re: Tube vs. Transistor

I'll have to try one.

I'm not a purist at all, but I love my current amp (tube). In fairness, the solid state amps I've had were all low end models. The right amp just makes everything sound so...

Re: Counterfeit Guitars

This is good news. I fear it's just sticking a finger in the dike though until China decides to be responsible.

Re: I'm Bummed...

Holy crap. That really stinks. ButI guess it's good that it didn't turn out much worse.

Try to tough it out and keep that cast thing on. Better to let it heal properly than screw it up and develop...

Re: Need a good samaritan...

Thanks heaps. My motive is trying to surprise my wife by moving one level ahead of her in game acheivements. Not sure it would work here.

But...that reminds me. I'll put a link to GM on my game...

Need a good samaritan...

...to log onto a horse gaming website and use me as a sponsor.

Long story short, my kids are heavily into this site. My wife signed up to help them. I then signed up to see what all the fuss was...

Re: It's official..

Sometimes we have to put our heads down and make some hay.

Good luck and don't forget to come up for air now and then.

Re: DBZguitars.com

The headstock looks a but too much like a Klingon war weapon to me. I'm sure I'd hurt myself or others.

I'll stick to my safe, rounded corners.

Re: Eddie Van Halen Frankenstein Replica

I looked at one in a case in Hong Kong I think.  Really wacky to me that anyone would pay those prices.  Even if I was a huge fan of Eddie's and wanted the guitar, I think I'd make my own replica and...

Re: 30 Seconds To Mars Sued For $30 Million By Virgin

I'm sure there's lots more to that story that no one but lawyers would ever want to hear. What a hassle.

Re: Ever win any gear?

"I won a guitar Pick one time"

I got a chuckle out of that. Truth is, if I hadn't won the OD pedal from this board, I wouldn't even have a free pick to show.

Re: Got me a new pet today fellows, and ladies.

Rats are probably the one pet I just couldn't deal with.  I've had to trap some before, and sewer rats just look damned evil when they're still alive but wearing a trap around their neck like a...

Ever win any gear?

I've entered the MF giveaway so many times. I enter quite a few Epi contests too. I've even entered a couple at bars. No luck here.

Anyone here actually win something? If so, what, where, how?

Re: Big Foot Found!!

In Georgia? I thought that bigfoots (bigfeet?) were supposed to be located in the northwest.

Was it found with a banjo and a can of PBR?
