I think a lot of guitars have maple plywood tops or veneers though. And archtop LP's are not something I think I could pull off refinishing my self either.

Ive also been using the Pod XT's effects in the loop of the Blue Voodoo 60 and some of the chorus models are absolutely stunning.

What Chorus pedal do you use?

I have an early 80's Boss Ce-2 thats pretty beat up looking but works flawlessly. Other than eating batteries its the best Chorus Ive used(and one of the easiest).
