Did you buy it new?

How much?

Re: Tube vs. Transistor

Here's the 1x15 combo I was talking about, on the left:

As you can see, even though it's a 1x15 it's still smaller than my...

Re: Electric 12 strings?

That's boss. A friend of mine has a 60's style band and he plays a DiPinto. He has some really expensive old Gretsches but won't gig them. Lemme see if I can find a pic of the one he has, I just saw...

Re: Tube vs. Transistor

I didn't realize Ampeg even made SS amps.

The lead singer in my side band has an old ('60's I'm guessing) Ampeg 1x15 tube combo and it sounds great. Also, back in the early 1990's the rhythm...

Re: Free DOD 250 Overdrive Pedal Gear-Monkey Give-Away

If I've counted right, I'm in at 430.

Btw, this has been viewed 54 times and only a couple people are in? People, don't be shy!

Re: Who here can make recordings via YouTube video?

A video thing would be good, I'm just technologically inept.

I've already won a couple pedals. so no biggie.

Re: Who here can make recordings via YouTube video?

Nope.

All my band songs, I went into a local studio to do.

I'm not even set up for home audio recordings on computer.

Hopefully some others will be slightly less Luddite.

Re: I need some help with my acoustic guitar

Sounds like a slight neck twist that hopefully should be remediable by a truss rod adjustment, assuming the guitar has one (I expect it does).

I got batches and batches of guitars, but I won't...

Re: Counterfeit Guitars

Good to hear.

It's a shame the companies have to go to such work because the Chinese government won't, though.

Re: NAMM 2009

Thanks for the links.

"Relic" MIM Fenders. And cost quite a bit more than regular MIM's. Who'da thunk it?

I'll beat up my own guitars! :w: :winkx:

My not very interesting band practice report (but with pics, sorta)

So Sunday night was the first time my main band, Crash Pad, got together in like a year. I put the band "on hiatus" when it got to be more work than fun, for a couple different reasons. First, our...

Re: How was your New Year's?

Thanks, Mrs. K took all the photos (except the one of all of us, of course), I think. It was a ton of fun, but skiing/snowboarding is a lot of work, especially if you're not very good at it. We were...

Re: NSCD! (New Speaker Cabinet Day!)

I like this cab because it's so compact. I have a 1x15 I could've lent her, but with this 2x10 the floor footprint is much smaller, and the cab and head together are still smaller than the 1x15 cab...

NSCD! (New Speaker Cabinet Day!)

Well, my daughter is learning bass, so I figured I'd find her some cheapie rig to practice through, so she could actually hear herself. Craigslist came through with an old Peavey PA cab that's been...

Re: New Bass Day!

Yeah that's a common problem with input jacks mounted on frontplates. Risk can be minimized by using a right-angle plug instead of a straight plug, and by looping your chord under the butt-end and...

Re: New Bass Day!

So far so good. The neck is closer to a Jazz neck, not as thin, but thinner than a Precision. I need to lower the action on the thing I think, if I can without getting too much rattle. It's not bad...

New Bass Day!

Well, I went ahead and done it. Bought another pawn shop prize, a Peavey Fury bass. Should date from 1984-86, according to an online article I found about it's predecessor, the Peavey T-20 bass....

Early Peavey Fury (angled super ferrite pup) bass?

Anybody have any experience with these?

Early-to-mid '80's, USA. Being Peavey, I'd expect they're bullet-proof. Have tried Googling but I keep getting all the later USA P-bass copies (also called...
