I'd have to say EMG 81/60.
Those always seem :2thumbups: to me. But it really all depends on the guitar. They almost always seem the way to go to me.

I leave them in the case as I noticed if they sit in a regular stand they get a slight bow if left too long. In a rack stand, they get a slight twist. In the case I say. Stands are for momentary...

If I don't clean the fretboard, as this doesn't have to be done every restring, I change three at a time. BUT, that is only with guitars that have TOM that don't lock. Just simply so I don't mess up...

If you want more aggressive I would stay with the 6L6s. The 5881 are smoother tubes. The 6L6, more aggressive. Maybe pick up a better hotter set. Doug's Tubes is my man. If you email him and tell him...

You just get a good strap. I nice leather unit with the grippy backing. No neck problems.
