amp designs
50's tweed deluxe (5E3) these sound incredible, almost greasy.
15-18 watts, 2ea 6V6 output tubes. SIMPLE design that still sounds great almost 60 years later http://www.pierson-amps.com/deluxeback400.jpg 66 Ampeg reverberocket 2 18w built like a tank, more punch than the 5E3 http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...tch/ampeg2.jpg late 90's hot rod deluxe. Sound nice but not reliable 40W using 2ea 6L6GC output tubes. Loud little buggers not replaced cement resistors are scorched PCBA http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...h/IMG_0580.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...h/IMG_0578.jpg 2000 custom vibrolux reverb. another nice fender with a touch of breakup 40w with 2ea 6L6GC's http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ibrolux003.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...ibrolux004.jpg |
Re: amp designs
That's a fine piece of equipment :hookem:
I bet it has the best sparkly cleans ever! Can you find some clips of one online? |
Re: amp designs
to which one?
for sparkly clean you want this - you can dime it and it still stays clean. painfully loud though http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...h/IMG_1065.jpg http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i1...h/IMG_1064.jpg |
Re: amp designs
I'd love to have an old Ampeg combo. Those things have always looked so cool to me.
