amp designs

50's tweed deluxe (5E3) these sound incredible, almost greasy.
15-18 watts, 2ea 6V6 output tubes. SIMPLE design that still sounds great almost 60 years later

66 Ampeg reverberocket 2
18w built like a tank, more punch than the 5E3

late 90's hot rod deluxe. Sound nice but not reliable
40W using 2ea 6L6GC output tubes. Loud little buggers
not replaced cement resistors are scorched PCBA

That's a fine piece of equipment :hookem:

to which one?

for sparkly clean you want this - you can dime it and it still stays clean. painfully loud though

I'd love to have an old Ampeg combo. Those things have always looked so cool to me.
