to monster: that would be awesome, i was looking at babysitting my cousin's kid for quite along time to afford a set off celestion rocket 50s lol, currently it has a pair of 10's in it that came from a crate bass cab, and they are on the short side of dead, the cones are basically destroyed heh, there is like 2" of surround connected to the cone on one of them and the other the cone is completely off the surround

well i will take a look for sure this week when i get some spare time..... and will let ya know..

Awesome, bro!

I'll be building a couple cabs for myself soon, since prices for pre-built cabinets are just outrageous.

That turned out nice, are you going to put corner protectors on it? Seems like that would be a good idea in the long run.

I wish I was handy, but a woodworker I'm not.

I do have a sorta DIY 2x12 cab myself, but I bought it from a guy who had already put the speakers in, so all I had to do was wire it up. Basically it's just an old Crate combo amp that somebody took the amp out of. After I wired it up I did spray paint the faceplate black so it wouldn't have distracting markings on it.

It doesn't look very sharp but it's got 2 Celestion V-12 60's in it, I only had to do some minimal work, and I bought it for only $90.

Here's a lousy pic of it set on end as a "quarter stack" with my Sovtek "Tube Midget" head:

It's horizontal here, sorta buried behind the guitars in this pic, being paired with my '60's Sunn 200S head:

Here's some pics before the speakers went in:

Yeah, there's no rush especially while it's at home. But if you take her out gigging and mess up that nice tolex work, it might make the Baby Jesus cry.
