To my ears a very good liquid lead tone is a 2 channel dual recto with loads of mids and a emg 85 or something similar in the neck position. Also another great amp for a liquid lead tone is a Engl Fireball, that thing sounded like creamy butter melting on a hot biscuit smooth and thick

Well I'm still twisting on my Bogner ecstacy. I can't settle into any real motivational sweet spot. I did luck out with a BadCat Hotcat 15. Awesome class A. It had a mod to switch channels that I had to reverse. Thanks radio shack for enabling general "joe" public. Any way I called the company the owner answered the phone and clued me in on that last wire! I give em a 10+ on my thumb meter!
