i have not seen a thread started yet about this so thought i would, what strings do you use size company if you have a fav....

for me i switch between 9s and 10s depends on the guitar on what i use for size...

for brand Dr strings sounds amazing, but they cost a bit more, i also use D'addario , but even with brand of string i find some brands feel and sound better on some guitars and and suck on others... it all comes down to each guitar really...

Good topic man!

I usually use GHS 10s. I'm thinking of going heavier next time around.

I bounce around fairly frequently...trying out dif brands when I can pick them up cheap.  Usually, though, I end up back with D'addario.

For the most part, I use 10's.

i prefer ernie ball hybrids (11-52), but most stores seem to NOT carry them, so when they don't have hybrids i grab power slinkys (11-48) when they don't have either hybrids, or power, i go with EB standard 12s if they don't have any of those 3 i go home and play on old rusty strings :-P

Hmmm you can tell I'm from the 80's I use 9's. I like a hybrid set 9-46 or 10-52 I used any brand I can buy, although I prefer EB.

i been trying out a pack of GHS rock-its 9s and must say very good sound... they feel a bit more stiffer as to not move around playing heavy unlike other strings.... these 9s feel like 10s but play and sound like 9s... if that makes sense......

I find that a bit bigger string has a better sustain..i think.. i just find they have a deep thinker sound, not tiny or twangy...  or maybe i', just stuck in my ways lol

no you are right thicker strings i think do have more thicker sound, but i sustain comes down more to your action hight .. also each brand sounds and plays different i can take a set of 9s and a set of 10s from to company's and they might both get same sound.. also depends on pickups etc.... on how strings sound...
