Isn't she a beauty?  Oh and she sounds better than she looks too!  Loaded with New Mesa 12AX7 preamps and JJ 6L6GC Power tubes.  And of course, Mesa Boogie Rectifier tubes.

Born 1992 was this Holy Grail Pre1000 R0929.  This isn't like today's Recto, this is one of the "Ever so Rare" Dual Recto.  Mesa should have kept building them like this. Get more low end growl, Liquidy crunch (saturated) tube sag without the fizz.  In 1992 the Rectos had BALLS! Serial fx loop, unlike recent DR which suck out all your tone.

I'm very fortunate to seek out and obtain one of these.  I doubt another one in this condition could be found without a life time of searching.  I should go play the lottery now... it's my lucky day!

Those things are pretty friggin sweet. My buddy in another local band had the exact one, except he had EL34's in it, and i noticed that the one in the pics had 6L6's.  I use a Peavey 5150 and my buddy who had the Mesa just traded it for a 5150 as well. Those mesa's are hard to find, so congrats bro.

Oh sweet jesus that Mesa/Boogie is the bomb!  I love Dual Rectos!  1992 is the first year they started making them, right?

Hey everyone.  I have an ABSOLUTE MINT blackface Dual Recto that I might consider parting with, if the price is right.  The serial number is: 528 , which means yes... it is the absolute rarest of them all with the Revision E.  There were less than 40 of these heads made!!  EVER!  The revision E has the best of both pre and post 500's.  I also have a mint Mesa 4X12 slanted cab loaded with vintage celestions.  The head was recently completely retubed through eurotubes, which cost me over $200.00!  It has a combination of kt77 & el34 for the power section.  This lowers the wattage rating, so you can actually use it one a stage to keep volumes low and still get the mesa tube saturation!

If you are interested, know how valuable this amp is and are not going to try to low-ball me, then please contact me at: ian@ianfedorchick.com

Ian, you might do better if you start a thread in the classified sections.

Good luck!

Actually, I traded this off for a Roadster awhile ago.  I since then sold that Roadster...

Now I have another Roadster which I'm 99.9% sure that one is sold as well.
