I'm looking to buy a new guitar and I've been looking at this one:

http://www.thomann.de/se/bc_rich_nj_mockingbird_tbk.htm

How good is it?

Thanks for answers.

Indeed that is a sweet guitar. I actually have a long time love for the upper-level Mocking Bird. I almost bought a used one a few months ago, it sold before I the chance to snatch it up.

Great guitar dude... and welcome to the boards!  w

Japp, självklart är jag en svensk. Älskar landet. Det ända jag hatar med Sverige är vintern, det blir så jävla kallt. Iallafall här uppe i norr.

Förresten, är det någon här som har en Boss DS-1? Jag hade tänkt köpa en på Blocket för 220kr och vill veta hur bra den här. Har kollat lite på tuben men hittade inte så mycket där.

By the way, I'm thinking of buying a Boss DS-1 too, how good is the Boss?

Boss is a good product I had the DS-1 it seemed to be a bit shrilly to my taste but I used it with an eq and that made it sound really nice I like a pedal with a bit more low mids boosting it would all depend I guess on what type of music your playing I like playing mostly blues so I use a tube screamer TS9DX but it has been modded to the old TS-808 chips and resisters I chose that pedal because it has one setting that increases the mids a bit but it would not be good for like hard rock to metal maybe some classic rock it has a good bite to it. Realy brings out a good tone on my Fender neck pickup :) well hope that helped some lol .

Get a Metal Muff. It's what I use. I scoop the mids on my amp and the pedal, and then use a Danelectro Fish'n'Chips 7 band eq to eq some mids back in. Sweet tone of the Gods! w

How much you wanting to spend on a pedal if price aint to much a factor I would get the new GT-10 you can get any tone you want out of that thing I love mine. If you want to stay a bit cheaper the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone is not a bad pedal for the price and you can some times pick up one cheap on SleazeBay. They also have the Boss ML-2 Metal Core Distortion Pedal out now I have not used it yet but I have used the other one and you can get some really heavy tone from it and the new one is supposed to be even better. Now also this is a nice heavy metal pedal Electro-Harmonix Metal Muff with Top Boost. Go to MF and look around most pedals have sound tests you can listen to to get an idea of its sounds then go to SleazeBay and search them out and see what price you can get them for.

I have the Metal Muff w/top boost, and a Boss MT-2 Metal Zone. Until I sent the MT-2 to Keeley Electronics, I thought it sounded HORRIBLE. TOO much mids!!! It has soooo much mid tone, it sounds digital and fake. With the Keeley mods on the other hand, sweet tone, and musical sounding. The Ultra mode can blow your speakers if you don't watch how much bass you have eq'ed in. The EH Metal Muff gets my vote, even with the Keeley mods, my Muff still sounds WAY better. w

It seems as no one from SleazeBay wants to ship to Europe.
