I tried out a Krank Maximus, about a month or so ago and it was ok..  i personally would not pay $280.00 for one..  Krank thereselves have said this pedal is the Krank tone in a stomp box for ppl who can affored to drop 3k on a krank head..  if you have a small great sounding clean sound on your combo, and cant affored a better amp, get this peadal it will make your distortion dreams come true.. BUT if your as lucky as me to have a mesa, or krank or any bigger amp with great tone and distorsion, don't waste your money...

I use the Krank Krankshaft Pedal its a "very hot-rodded tube screamer-type pedal that sounds great as a front end lead boost or as a dirty sound on a clean channel". and its like $180.00
im not fussy about useing on clean for a main distorstion, but as a boost with some extra smooth distiorion its amazing..

I love the design on the Krankshaft!

I made this thread because I was exploring different pedals for one of my RG100ES. Those amps are fun to boost

The V-Twin sounds nothing like a Recto. Don't let the diamondplate fool you. But it is a nice pedal.
And the Krankshaft has my attention. I gotta try it.

I liked the V-Twin. It worked well with my JC120. It didnt turn it into a Recto at all. But did give me some nice F series and DC series type tones.
I traded it for the Soldano GTO which did have more growl and gain to it IMO. Too bad they are so damn expensive used.
