Hey guys- anyone have any experience hearing or playing these two preamps or the Hughes and Kettner Tubeman Plus? They are all possible pres that I might get but unfortunately-they are far far away so I can't hear them first. Need tones in the ballpark (NOT EXACT ) of Eric Johnson ,Gilmour,Andy Timmons -which by today's standards are medium gain.I like nice clear overdrives and distortions no fizz or fuzz and like preamps for recording 'cuz you can play at lower volume, run them into cab sims etc. Any knowledge of these preamps? Thanks.
