Hey guys, just got one of these ever-so-rare JS2PRM Ibanez guitars in to review for Gear-Vault.com (http://gear-vault.com). Apparently only 60 were made and only 26 or 36 made it through production (I'm finding conflicting stories). This is Ibanez's 3rd attempt at the infamous Chromeboy. The finish is a Platinum Rock Mirror is an atomized stainless steel finish with a super thin clearcoat to protect it.

I found archives on the internet suggesting these guitars value at $20,000 - $30,000 in the condition this one is in (near new condition). This JS2PMR that I have was born July 21st 2005.

I'll post more info later. I just got home.. :D

So did you actually play it? :smilez:
The one Joe plays live (at times) has the chrome finish worn away where his arm rests on the upper part of the body. I imagine the production headaches with the finish gave Ibanez nighmares.

I didn't play it, it was just too nice to play. The first one had major issues with the finish, this one I think was better, but still could wear. I read some guys using static cling clear plastic where the are rests and under/below the strings.

This guitar is now in Australia somewhere.

Joe himself uses a static cling guard under the string area.
