I had one a while back, VERY NICE clean tone! But that's all I used it for. The other channels sounded really thin and weak for my style of music. I used it about 3 months and traded it for a new motorcycle helmet.

I heard nothing but really good things about the clean channel of the amp. My cube, which is supposed to "model" the JC sound has a very nice clean tone, so I can only guess the real thing would sound incredible. I've always wanted to try one out, every once in a while they pop up on craigslist for really tempting prices.

I want it only for they clean channel... I use my roadster for my chunk and i'm hoping to add another mesa for only high end and mids. Then to use the roland for my cleans

That should work for ya dude. Back in the 80's, "the" setup to have , at least with the guy's I hung around, was a Marshall half stack for your dirty sound, and a JC120 for your cleans. I could never afford either, but some of the guys I played with, had this set up, and it was heaven. :sweet:

Interesting, I've never seen it referred to as a JazzMaster before. Usually they're referred to as a Jazz Chorus™, which is what the JC stands for.

At any rate, good for cleans, take pedals well.

Bo Diddley used a Jazz Chorus, here's a shot of his in the foreground with my bass rig in the background.
