Ditto. Just something about that orange.

I kno this is shallow minded... Guitar amp tone should be everything!

I just got back from one of the guitars stores here in calgary, and i went to try the new Orange Thunderverb 200, of course they didn't have it there... but they did have the Rockerverb 100 and the AD model, so i tried them..

and just as i thought the color does not state the sound.. They sound amazing.. the ad is great for rock and softer, like CCR, neil young, and music of that sort..

The rockerverb, is great, for me... its got a great gut ballzy sound, i would place it betwwen a marshall and a mesa..

Marshall has that Mid and High tone
Orange has that Mid range covered very well, with some bass..
and mesa has that Bottom end with some mid tone

the Orange also has a great distortion, but you can feel the "British" in it as soon as you start to play

Are these 100 watt 6L6 or EL34?

If you find some clips on the net of these, would you mind posting them here?

I have a friend who has new Orange gear, a head and 4 X 12 cab, can't remember which model, but his opinion is. that it was a mistake! he said they have a great tone, but are very unreliable, he's had the amp back at the stores workshop twice allready, he feels everytime he takes it to gig it goes back to the workshop for repairs. Unless he has been unlucky with his experiences. And the lads that work at this music store feel the same way about Orange, as well, nice sound but unreliable. Go for a Marshall instead they say(maybe Marshall give better comission) thats my cynical side. So please bear that in mind when you part with your hard earned money.

Thats could very well be true, or he could have just unluckly bought a lemon..
My buddy from work have one the AD model, and he has never had a problem with it yet.
Yeah i used to work at a guitar shop here in canada, and marshall, vox and mesa had the highest comission.

Played a show recently with another band that used a Thunderverb FULL STACK! Now I have been around loud stuff. Bands since I was a teenager, automatic machine gun fire/grenades/artillery/tanks/etc in the Army, and now surrounded by racing engines and Mack trucks. And my ears hurt. I had to walk out of the area as they immediately started to ring.
