Now up on ebay! (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320184749162)

Hey guys, I thought I'd registered here a long time ago but I guess not. Got the site from Mr. Sandman on U.G. ;)

Anyway, I'm selling my 5150 Combo. If you're looking at this, you already know what this thing is capable of. The combo is also biased warmer than the head and sounds a lot smoother to my ears, not quite as harsh of gain and 60 watts tube is plenty for any situation.

The only reason I'm selling it is because I've decided to get a new amp and need to sell this one first. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it, it's in PERFECT working order.

Has one very small cut in tolex, besides that is completely flawless.

JJ tubes in the preamp and power amp have less than 10 hours on them.

Has also been modded so that when plugged into a speaker cabinet, the internal speakers remain on, so if you hook it up to a 4x12, you now have a 6x12.

Priced to move at $680 Shipped to Lower 48 States.

Reply or PM me if interested, needs to go soon, most likely going up on ebay tonight or tomorrow if I get no interest!

Now up on ebay!

Not sure if we're allowed to post links or not, so PM me if you want it ;)

Will still sell if I get an offer here higher than the current bid on ebay.

Thanks! Yeah, I'd thought I'd signed up here, and there a long time ago when I saw the link on UG, but I guess I was mistaken. ;)

I did an IP check and nothing is coming back. ???

This is a pretty laid back forum... the only thing I don't want here is stupid spam like cell phone / ipod crap. I have no problems if you want to post ebay links here. I know that's a huge no-no over at UG. Seems like members over at Ultimate-guitar have to walk on egg shells. Harmony-central is cool.. but mods are getting a little too carried away also. Then again, with 50k plus members, I can imagine it gets hectic.

I heard the cleans on the 5150 are really bad.
Is this true? Can't you get a nice warm clean tone with these amps?

Really bad? No. They can be usable if eq'd right. But if you switch from clean to dirty, you have to use the same eq'ing since it's a single channel. 6505+ is much better if you want to use cleans. Also look at XXX and JSX.

My top 5 favorite amp is XXX. The cleans on that are underrated for a brutal amp imo.
